The problem
Digital business cards have been tried repeatedly and mostly failed, because they solved the wrong half. The problem is not storing your details; it is the two seconds at the end of a conversation where sharing has to be effortless for both people, and the receiver must not be asked to install anything.
What it does
One link, one QR code, one page that works on any phone with no app and no account on the receiving side. Update your details once and every card you have ever shared is current.
Why it was hard
- The receiving experience has to be instant and app-free, which rules out most of the obvious architectures
- It has to look right when it lands in a messaging app preview, which is where most of these are actually opened
- Enough control for someone managing a company’s cards, without making a single professional set up an organisation first
